Iced “Wheat” Coffee is back!

Wheat Beer Fest was a blast.  We served lots of our refreshing wheat beer-inspired iced coffee (from a keg!), and got many requests the next day for more…so we’re bringing it back.

You can again get your glass of iced Bwayi, lightly sweetened with wildflower honey from Green Meadow Farm, and accentuated with lemon zest and coriander seeds.  It’s light and refreshing — delightful for these summer days.

Iced Bwayi with some wildflower honey, coriander and lemon zest…in a keg for an event in the neighborhood called “wheat beer fest.” It was a smash success and the coffee was well received. For now we have only poured it out of a gravity fed “firkin,” but we have every intention of getting it to pour out of a pressure tap at the South Philly Taproom at some point in the near future. Stay tuned…

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. We’ve dreamed about kegged iced coffee down here, but never come anywhere close to trying it.

Are you going to Nitrogenate it? I’d guess that carbonation would add a pretty mean bite to it. Nitrogen might be pretty smooth? Or are you going to use a beer engine?

Iced coffee on a bar gun…crazy.
